Hi Tom, LOL Well funny after all these years Mystery Valley is still unheard of by a lot of folks.
We'd been told about it almost 20yrs ago and on our last Navajo Guided Tour of Monument Valley Floor
we asked if we could get the Young Kid that Took us to take us to see Mystery Valley, they looked at
us like were crazy but said sure. It has more special land features like Anasazi Ruins, Petroglyphs, Mountain Window Views,
even has some "Earth Eggs/ Toadstools" the thing that made is so special was the young guy guiding us, it was
where he lived and grew up. He took us to the places he played and even some more special sites. I admit we
were a lot younger and more agile then, but I still remember him almost walking straight up some of the Rocks
formations to get to a viewpoint while wearing Cowboy boots with Mexican riding Heels he looked like a mountain
goat and there I was with hiking boots and struggled. If you have the chance to go back out to MV, you might
see about a guided Tour, I think it would be worth your time and effort. Here's a few links if you want more info.

It can be hard to make an impactful image of such a famous place - but this is proof it can be done. One of the very best I have seen of this famous location. The composition is excellent and as others have said the lighting is so amazing, the two really makea super dramatic pairing.

I will be there myself near the end of September - I shall be over the moon if I manage to capture something even half as impressive as this.

Great stuff, thanks for sharing!

Well thanks for that nice story. You bet when I go back to MV I will see if I can get a guide to take me there.
