Thanks Alan. I always carry a long lens for landscape, often time don't use it but when you find something worthwhile it is there.Well seen - an excellent example of where a telephoto lens is great for landscape photography.

Thanks Pepper. This was a totally unplanned shot. I pulled out my long lens after finding a place to park the car and shot hand held.great scene made up of an interesting mix of textures and colors.
The trees that are bigger are getting more water, Tim. I am guessing because there is a little more clay in the interstice's of the sandstone that doesn't allow easy percolation of he water out of the rock.Nice! I wonder why the trees grow so much larger at the top...
