Thanks Alan. I always carry a long lens for landscape, often time don't use it but when you find something worthwhile it is there.

Thanks Pepper. This was a totally unplanned shot. I pulled out my long lens after finding a place to park the car and shot hand held.

Great .. I love shots like this. This will convert to a BW beautifully.. red filter to turn the sky black and the moon, clouds and the hillside will really pop. Of course it’s also sweet in color. Good job on your comp as well .

The trees that are bigger are getting more water, Tim. I am guessing because there is a little more clay in the interstice's of the sandstone that doesn't allow easy percolation of he water out of the rock.
