moon and lighthouse

So the miniture lighthouse which acts as a jetty marker gets a little help from the moon. I do love the concept, but I'm not sure what I did wrong. Right from the start this shot looked a little cartoonish, and the more I pushed it, the more it pushed back. So I came up with this final edit, not what I invisioned from the start but I like it for the most part. All C&C appreciated

Guess I have the same problem when I try to include the moon in a shot, it’s often too high and I end up with too much space.

This is a nice image with a great mood. You worked with what you were given

This definitely works for my eyes and since I don't have any preconceived notions of what you wanted it to look like I'll just appreciate it as is :)

This totally works for me. I would say sometimes we just have to follow where the photo and processing leads. Sometimes it leads us in ways we would never have thought. What's really cool to me is not a cartoonish feel, but a very 3D feel to this. There is so much depth to this.

I guess I have to stop being so high strung when I have something else in mind. Thank you Alan .

There is a real implied motion in this that helps it stand out. Also the midnight blue is a nice touch, reminds me of what the fictional Half Moon Bay" might look like.

Works for me, the only thing that bothers me is the slight vignette, i dont know was it intentional or captured, but i would consider evening out the light a bit.

Cheers!
