More Green! "The Misty Birches"

Alan mentioned New England Green in Kyle's wonderful Oaks shot.
Here is some more green from The Green Mountain State.

This is nice - that mist makes this a much more interesting shot than a straight image of the birches themselves.

My comment about New England in Kyle's thread was mostly directed at their current plight in a world of frozen white. My guess is more than a few of them would rather look out their windows at the scene you posted above right about now.

The light is defused to a perfection and the comp makes me linger. I'd play around with darkening the FG a bit or maybe the whole image.

But what I have seen from the Weather Channel that doesn't seem likely. What a cool shot you have here!

Beautiful scene here, Tom. I love the green haziness of it. To me, part of the attraction of it is the luminescence of the mist and light in the trees so I can't imagine it as darker (pace Zeph and Barry), but a comparison might be interesting.
