More Summer Blooms

A few more street side flower shows from along my neighborhood streets.

I thought this was a pretty cool looking plant - my wife identified it as crocosomia and promptly added that it was highly invasive.

Great set Alan, love the shape and structure of that first even if invasive. The second is really nice, love how its placed in the frame. The last is also nice, but the cut off petals sort of detract.

Thanks Ben - I liked the shapes in the first one as well but will have to enjoy it down the street in someone else's garden. I was having a lot of trouble shooting the lilies as there was a breeze that kept them waving back and forth. It is interesting how well the iPhone photo app freezes them in both of these shots given how much motion there actually was while I was trying to squeeze off the shots. In hindsight I should have backed off on the framing in the last one but I couldn't actually see that I was too close as it never stopped moving around.

Those are some strong colors! I don't mind the petals being cut off in the last one. Sometimes doing that eliminates distracting background.
