Doug the clearcuts are on the distant hills. Every few months another unit is logged. In this area the cut is on 3rd growth, trees that are usually 6 -12" in diameter. The intended use is cellulose/chips or worse hog fuel. Those few trees sticking up above the fog makes it look like there is no clear cut. I love the color here, Zeph.
Those are nicely obscured by he distance. Good job, Zeph. BTW, my sister has relatives in Sweden and they burn wood pellets in stoves rather than use gas furnaces. They used to have a gas furnace but the government made them convert it into a wood pellet furnace. The government thinks that is better for the environment. Boy did they get that wrong.Doug the clearcuts are on the distant hills. Every few months another unit is logged. In this area the cut is on 3rd growth, trees that are usually 6 -12" in diameter. Love the color and the blanket of clouds very beautiful! Here's a winter time Sunrise from a familiar place I shot, it nice that you can't discern the clearcuts
C&C Welcome
Hey Doug, I love cooking with gas and it's pretty efficient once it terminates at your house. But I'm beginning to think the cost/risk to people and the earth with fracking and pipelines is questionable. Those are nicely obscured by he distance. Good job, Zeph. Guy, I light your suggestion of cropping those top clouds, but I also like the combination of colors here with the rich blue sky and the yellowish fog.Lovely scene. I like it even more with a panoramic crop taking out half the sky.
