Moss among the pines

This is a set of pines I drive by quite often when making my way between Highway 50 and Highway 88 on the western slope of the sierra. I finally caught a good day to capture the buggers!

Sweet greens in the moss. I like the stand of pines too.

I didn't realize there was that much moss down there so I looked up the location just to see where this was. Turns out I have driven that road but it was 47 years ago driving from Utah to a friend's wedding in Placerville.

This is really cool Doug! Love that moss and the way it's glowing. I am glad you finally decided to stop, though I know how that can go with a location we drive by a lot as it's always easy to say that next time we will stop.

that's some really bright green moss. it pops against the bluish greens and browns.
