Mountain Goats at Mt Evans

I took a small break in the midst of my wildflower hunting in Colorado to drive the grandkids up to Mt Evans in Colorado. The highlight of our trip was being able to see this large herd of Mountain Goats wandering around by one of the view points.

Here is a couple I have processed so far, I will work on some more in the coming week.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

I like the first two - nice portraits of the critters. Not quite sure what to think about the processing in the last one.

Thanks Alan! Same basic processing on all 3, I have a series of about 15 photos that I liked from that afternoon, and all of those wide shots with the herd in them came across with a bit of an odd feel. Almost HDR to me, but as I said the last one was processed almost identical to the first 2. It could be all of the tan coloring of the rocks and goats? The light was so even then. I did think about going to B&W to see if I could change up the feel of it a bit.

Curious color twists - I was afraid you had gone over to the dark side and were experimenting with HDR tone mapping on wildlife.
