I just received my RF800 f11 lens yesterday and had to try it out last night on the moon,

Hand held, ISO800 f11, 1/1600, A bit underexposed in RAW, but easy to bring up.

Thanks Jim, I have done dozens of moons back when I had a 500F4. Yes this lens has vibration control as does the camera. I doubt I needed it at 1/1600

One last question, though since it’s a f11 lens it’s probably not possible, but can you use a TC with it?

Yes a TC can be used - both 1.4x and 2.0x.

Jameel answered it. But I think 800 is enough. I have used a 2X on a 500f4, and for terrestrial subjects there was too much atmospheric interference.
