My Take on Wild Goose Island

Ben posted a series of photos from Wild Goose Island Overlook of St Mary lake in the critique forum, which I found helpful for thinking about this spot before my first visit a couple of weeks ago. I arrived about 9am with some nice clouds and some light poking through. So here's my take. Any thoughts are welcome.

Nice job Kyle. I cold find that tree by looking at mine, but not otherwise. Nice processing. Did you get down to the shoreline

Hard to find scenarios for light wind shots of this lake with good reflections in the fall. I like the light and the clouds. I cheated and looked up Ben's shot from near here - the tree you turned green is a smaller one just to the right of the big one in the lower left corner.

gorgeous light, esp. on the mountains. we usually stay on the west side of the park in kalispell. so by the time i get here i'm shooting into the sun. someday though...
