nesting osprey

a nesting osprey from a few days ago in crackhead alley. i think she's got young chicks in there because she hung around while i took photos. normally they're skittish and take off squawking before you get within shooting distance.

Nice one. How high up is this nest? In the Pacific NW they have a preference for the tops of telephone poles so getting a shot like this almost requires a drone.

Nice eye contact,. No doubt she sees you better then you see her. They do protect the nest.
