NGC 3372 Carina Nebula Core in HSO

This was the last target shot in 2021 using the newt before moving on to the small refractor for some wider field imaging.
40 x 300s subs shot @-10C spread across 3 nights for a total integration time of 3.3hrs and using the HOS palette with some colour blending. Didn't spend too much time on this one due to the busy Christmas period.

Wow Carlos! This is really amazing! It sounds like you would have liked more data on this, but man I don’t know how it could be improved! I really like the colors and I like how this frames up.

I am out at Joshua Tree testing my new iOptron Gem28, and it was a real joy to see this image of yours as I finished packing everything up here.

Each deep space image is similar in some ways (you always know it's an astro image), but very different in shape, color etc. This one is really unique and beautiful.

Thanks Jim ! This target is so bright and full of rich detail that I didn't think more was necessary. Wow ! I'm sure you will have lotsa fun with your new mount ! Looking forward to your experiences with it !

very impressive - what a treat to have this amazing target available in your sky to image :) I am really liking the combo of the ASI2600MM and these Antlia filters. I hope to have that combo in my own future at some point. As an aside, I have heard about some issues with recent ZWO cameras regarding tilt of the imaging plane - have you been seeing anything like that in the 2600?

As for this image, really wonderful detail - a fun zoomed-in image to fall into. Really nice depth and color on this one!

Thanks Mike ! I may have a slight tilt issue somewhere which I'm still investigating. I had ASTAP analyze some of my subs and most of them resulted in negligible or no tilt at all while a couple have come up with 'minor' tilt. This makes me think it could be the filter wheel or one or more of the filters themselves. Will see how it goes...
