NGC 891

That’s really awesome Chuck! You got some really great images with that camera.

This kind of reminds me of a scene in a Star Wars movie where a Death Star blows up a planet.

Since this is a color camera, it is cooled of course so you can shoot longer, but the output would be similar to a DSLR that isn’t converted? I ask, because clearly I need to step up my game!

Thanks Jim, yes it is cooled and it would be more like a modded dslr camera. The camera had more noise and not as efficient as cameras are today. I only used my ASI 1600 one time under dark skies, I think it would be much better than the SBIG 8300. I'm actually thinking of buying another color camera.

Really excellent Chuck - I continue to be impressed with what that 9.25 Edge is doing for you. Fantastic detail in the dust lane, and very natural coloring!
