New to the site so posting a few of my pics. Don’t want to spam the board so I’ll do it slowly over time. For now here’s NGC2244 - the Rosette Nebula. It was one of my earlier pics so has quite a bit of noise. Perhaps I’ll go back to it one day and apply some of the techniques I’ve since learned to clean it up 🔭🥰

Awesome work on the Rosette Danny! I still use a DSLR, so my Rosettes are all red, but I love seeing ones like this of yours as it inspires me to do better with mine. One day, I will get a dedicated Astro camera, but for now that will have to wait

This was done in Narrow Band and a SHO palette?

Danny,

Welcome to FW - it's a great place, I think you will love it here. Nice way to start things off with a target that, as you say, does the heavy lifting for you :)

Very nice palette mix on this one, I find the orange / blue mix to always be very nice, although my favorite version turned out to be a different mix. IN any case, you have a winning image here for sure. Would love to hear any details you care to share about gear used, sub-exposure lengths, etc. etc. as that is always interesting to see what went into the collecting and producing the final result.

Thanks everyone. I actually tweaked the colours on this recently and the general consensus is that it is an improvement.

As for gear etc it would have been shot with my asi183mm pro using ZWO HSO filters. Scope - ZS61 and mount - Heq5 pro. I pretty much stick to 600s subs and for this image I took 10x 600s for each channel.
