North American river otter

I found three North American river otter at the first pond at Dead Horse Ranch, Cottonwood, Arizona. River otters have eluded me until now. I knew otters were around because they found a small pond at Lo-Lo-Mai Springs Campground near Sedona. This pond had 20 or so wood ducks for many many years. Once the otters came (and left) There are no more wood ducks.

Great shots. I love watching these guys the few times I've been lucky to see them. There is a family of 4 at the lake we paddle on a lot in the summer, but we've only seen them twice (without a camera).
