Not again. Am I Hawk Whisperer now?

Back in July, I came across a wounded Bobcat that seem to recover.
This morning, minding my own biz in the garage, mixing up developer.
I hear a swoosh/scuffling sound.
Turn around and there's a Red Tail Hawk all the way in my garage!
When I approached, a wing seemed "lame"
Closed the doors and called wildlife rescue and animal control picked it up for rehab.
I'm going to try to get them to let me know when it's release!

I'm going to ask the wildlife rescue folks if I can know when they release it.
Maybe a photo op?

What a classy act to help this bird, Dan. I am pretty sure this is not a Red-tailed Hawk. Notice that the tail feathers are not red, but are banded black and white. I have a friend that is an expert birder and I sent the images to him for ID. As soon as he lets me know I will let you know.

I hope they let you photograph his release. There is a wildlife rehab center about five miles from my home and I have become friends with the guy that runs it. A few years ago he had some baby barn owls he was taking care of and when they were ready to be released he called me. As the first one was released it flew directly at me at a fast rate of speed and I got nothing as a result. The second one, however, flew away from me and went up into a nearby tree. The image below is of him.

Ha, I'm not a "birder" as you can tell!
Now I wonder if its a red shouldered hawk?
While I waited for the rescue, I continued my film chemistry mixing.
Have a couple of rolls & sheets waiting to process.

Looks too little to be a red-tailed hawk.

Sharp shinned maybe? Can't really tell from the pictures..

At least he knew where to go for help!
