Observatory made it through hurricane

Well hurricane Ian came roaring through last week with a vengance. My yard was really hit hard, but only had a few roof shingles missing. My observatory only had slight damage. Here are a few photos.
I don't know when I will be up and running with the telescope but I still have the solar scope ant time. There is so much work to do.

The big palm tree came down abour 6' away from the observatory.

Wow Chuck! I hate to see any damage to your property, but I am glad it wasn't worse. And it's awesome the palm tree missed our observatory!

Thanks Jim, There are so many people suffering down here and it goes on for a long time. Doctors offices closed, phamacies cant fill perscriptions, no food, can't find people to do work if you are not able to repair the damage yourself and price gauging. My wife just got a call from the store she works at and they said they will not be opening for a year, thats if they do. That is just one business, there are many completely gone. Sorry for the rambling on about the storm you can delete this if you want.

Wow, that looks awful! Glad no one was hurt, and at least the observatory was not wrecked. As you say though, looks like a like of cleanup and repair. Good luck will be hoping for a quick return to operations for you.

Thanks Mike, I am thinking of selling all my deep sky stuff and just keep the 9.25 and my solar scope. The light pollution and bad transparency in my area are getting worse and worse that it not fun anymore.
