Great shutter speed to capture a very dynamic shot, Zeph. You must have been hanging your entire body weight off your tripod to keep it steady for this one!

I am with Monika on this one - I know that point well and the exposure goes well beyond notable. Nice job of capturing some of the fury that accompanies winter storms out there.

Ironically that same park has one of the best protected campgrounds for a storm like the one you depict - Sunset Bay State Park Campground. When I am out along the coast in the winter and a hard SW blow moves in I take shelter there because of it's NW exposure.

Hey Zeph, what an amazing shot! And to have to park nose to the wind that must have been so windy! I really like the B&W look.

It's interesting with the exposure, the big fast moving waves sort of disappeared, all you see is their wind blown shadows.
The Oregon coast is no stranger to high seas, we had 25foot surf just a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for your comment Monika

As one seadog to another, the Oregon coast has no limits to it's photo opportunities. It's been great to see your work from the last couple of months. Charleston is a bit too crowded as a destination, but great in a pinch or to use the hookups...
