The clouds moved in after three days of glorious sunset in a row, tonight there were low clouds hanging near the coast, I waited till the sky changed color when others packed up.

Good job on waiting! I am with you in that I will still be there after others have packed their bags and left. Especially on the West Coast I think it's pretty normal for after the sun sets, for there then to be this after glow of incredible color that appears to come from no where.

Hi Jim. I saw the cloud but didn't expect it to be so close to the South San Francisco, anyway I stayed there till half an hour after the sun went down. My lucky day, it was spectacular from Half Moon Bay to San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge.

Hi Alan, I tried 4, 6, 8, 10 seconds exposure because the red glow on the water, also it takes a few tries to get the right wave shapes. A lucky night for me.
