This is pretty cool. We don't get many 300mm landscape images, but this shows it can be handy to pull out the long lens once in while!
The Painted Hills is just a really different place, and this captures it well.

I almost never leave my 100-400mm behind. It certainly adds to my lens load but its a rare shooting session where it fails to come out. Of course, the unrewarding aspect is lugging that heavy glass around...
