Pair of Arches

It was a rainy day, not too bad, but enough to make me realize that I wouldn't want to be walking out from Corona Arch if the slabs were running with water.

Pinto Arch is on the way to Corona Arch. I've always forgotten to stop there on my way out (until this time). It's a pothole arch and the bowl that is behind it has, judging by the sound of my footfalls, really wonderful acoustics.

Neat B&Ws with both of these images there is something about the rock textures in the Pinto Arch image that really appeals to my eyes.

I agree with Alan on the Pinto Arch rock textures, but the sky and B&W treatment of Corona is great. I haven't made it to these and should put on the to do list.

Thanks, Jim.
Go in winter, otherwise it'll be mobbed. It was "crowded" with 1 party in before me & 3 more as I came out (that I encountered), but an almost full parking lot -- I probably missed a handful of other parties by being in at Pinto. The other times I've gone in winter, there has been only 1 or 2 other parties there. But at least people are no longer jumping off the top of the arch (roped) & swinging through it .

Yes, that's what I liked, too, and how the different textures made a swirl around the window.

Very cool Monika! Love these, especially #1 as those clouds are just perfect. The B&W conversion was done really well, and I like the look of it.

Neat way to present Corona Arch. I also walked by Pinto on my way to Carona and there were many bungie jumpers on it that day.
