Most of the rice fields were already harvested and new plantation was in process. As such, most of the beautiful rice terraces were just full of water and not the lush greens like you see on instagram.
Just the day before I had to leave, I was flying over some rice fields wanting to take the sunrise photo with Mt. Augung in the background. Happened to spot this patch which had not yet been harvested but was going to be in a day or two. I was almost 1/2 a mile out with my drone and quickly shot some compositions that I liked just as the sunlight started to hit the fields. Low battery warning shortly after. It was too hot to stand in the sun and fly again, so the pool and beer it was for the rest of the day.
