We had big rains today in the Santa Barbara area but they gave way to fair skies this afternoon. I took a walk on the beach and noticed all the little 'riverlets' in the sand from the down pours. Here's my example.
Those are fun - with a shot like this one it's hard to judge scale if you haven't seen them on the beach before. Nicely framed.
I'd love to see a break down on how the various minerals and/or particle sizes fit into how these are created. The speed of the water flow in suspending these materials must also play a role. I have seen this type of pattern show up all the way from San Diego up to Neah Bay in Washington.

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
