Wow! These are awesome Dean! They look even better here then they did on FB. Such great detail, the water drops, the wonderful lighting. The bokeh in #2 is just so sweet. I am glad you posted these.

Jim,
Thanks I appreciate the honor and your kind words.. Flowers are one of my favorite things to shoot.
For those who may have an interest..
I used a focus stack technique for the Iris shot.. A Tamron 90 mm Macro lens all images in the stack were shot at 2.8 the lens has terrific Bokeh.
For a flower to achieve this type of result..
Shoot several images each precisely focused or a particular area of the flower
I use LR and PS for my processing. Pick the images then open them and sync across the selection: IE white balance etc. then open as layers in PS.
Select- all layers
Edit- align layers
Edit- Auto Blend
Let PS do its thing and then crop and process the combined image as you would normally do.
If the image was completely still you will have a selected image with precise focus across the entire flower.. very difficult to do if there is any wind.
Lots of info on this technique on line if one searches.. the same technique can be used for landscape images if you are having a difficult time finding the hyper focal point to shoot in your image. I tend not to use this in my landscape work but it certainly can be helpful.

Thanks Dean, for the added detail on how you processed it, that is certainly helpful, I know it was for me as I don't shoot much in the way of flowers, but now I have an idea.

If you are ever bored and want a little project, writing this up with a couple of photos to illustrate the technique would be an awesome resource to have in our Article section. Let me know if this is something you would be interested in doing Dean.
