Pools of Gold...

Since this is the first day of fall I thought I would post one of my favorite fall shots.
The yellow/gold is the reflective color of full peak oak trees on the shore. The lily pads here turn almost purple at their peak fall color. The image appeared in OPM several years ago. We have a nice metal print of it hanging in the family room . I hope everybody gets some great images this season. All comments welcome and thanks for viewing regards, Dean

Hey Dean,

Wow, what a unique shot! It really takes a few moments for the brain to register what it's seeing. My first thought was that it was molten gold on the ground. Then after a few moments I could pick out the Lilly pads and then it came into focus, but what a brain teaser to start!

Hi Dean,

It's clear that you have strong vision to mix together the color contrasts and texture contrasts. My only suggestion is to think about the dark spot in the lower right. It draws my eye more than I would like it to.
