Potholes

This is from a couple years ago at Murphy's Hogback. If you recall the wrecked truck at the bottom of the slope, this is where he rolled off. That patched up hole is probably where he spun his wheels to the tip over point.

The road is now resurfaced and as smooth as a county road.

Hey Ben,

That's a shame they surfaced that road. While I wouldn't like roads so bad that people are dying from sliding off the road, a little character and roughness to a road makes it special in my eyes.

Hi Jim, No pavement, but fully graded. I agree, the White Rim trail is sort of losing it's character. Not least of which is too many people. The permits at the campsites limits the number of overnighters, but the trail is easy to do in one day so lots of people have discovered that.
