Rainy Roses Pt. 1

I used to take lunchtime walks in the downtown Vancouver area and stumbled across a really nice rose garden in Esther Short Park. At the time I had a Canon G9 as my pocket camera and once I knew what the blooming cycle was in the rose garden started making that part of my route. Overcast was always best but as it turned out a rainy day was even better.

I shot a bunch of really nice blooms one day in light rain and here is the first of a sequence of them I will post. I confess in advance I am not a rose aficionado so I have no clue what the names of them are.

This is absolutely gorgeous Alan. I am not sure, but it may be a Chicago Peace rose.
