Redwoods and Blooms

This is from the area of the Damnation Creek trail in Northern California. If you have never been to see and shoot the Redwoods when the Rhododendrons are in bloom, you really should get there, it's an unbelievable sight.

This is nice - I usually end up with a small handful of pathetic blooms instead of the whole top of the plant like this.

Edit: it gets worse - this is the very same trail I have failed to get good blooms on no less.

Beautiful I love rhodies, I had about 30 of them in my yard in Spokane, but nothing like the native ones and of course no Redwoods.

I love Rhododendrons! You should see Glen Etive in Scotland in June ...
I like your combination of the Rhododendrons with their color patches and the towering redwoods.
