I liked seeing this tree rising above all of the cactus in the West Coyote Hills area of Fullerton California. If the old oil industry did anything for Southern California, it left these pockets of mostly untouched hillsides that are then surrounded by a few billion houses.
This area is maybe 3 or 4 square miles? I can always aim away from the expensive houses, but pretty much if you turn 180, you will have houses then in the view. But.... considering it's SoCal, I am not complaining as it's really nice to have these little pockets of nature without having to drive 2 hours.
