Salt lake at dawn

Nice view of SLC from that location. I like seeing the second one with the view towards the UofU campus and the nice light on the clouds above the mountains.

That’s really cool Ben. It’s nice so Jameels daughter knew of this spot.

My favorite is #1 because the city is front and center in the image. #3 is my next favorite and has better clouds in it, but the city feels just slightly less standing out. So that’s why I would put #2 as last, though it’s got a super cool singular cloud, the city is feeling lost in the view. #2 perhaps is more of a landscape image then a cityscape. Though there is nothing wrong with including it in this series.

Yes Jim, that was a great choice for Jameels visit, I hope I can do as well for Sunny's visit Sunday evening, but clear sky's are forecast.

I started with the 1st image and the lights were still on and it was fairly dark so the city showed up nice. But as these sky's developed, we both moved around to catch the unfolding action. By the time I got to the third one, it was pretty light and many of the lights had been turned off..

Nice set Ben.

My daughter is not into photography but does a lot of hikes. She mentioned that this has a good view of the city.

The high winds were challenging when the city lights were on. My brief chimping shows some shake with some of my images. Will look at it in detail once I get home. The wind calmed down once the sun rose.

#3 is my favorite followed by 1 and 2. I am looking at this on my phone though.

Nice shots and cool location I never visited when I lived there. I'm left wanting a full valley pano in the third shot, showing the mountains on either side.
