Nice result. I like the pastels in the skies just above the mountains. The moon's reflection is still visible but that might be harder to remove.

One thing I realized a little while ago was that I had ignored images that were rendered rather flat by Bridge with default settings. Now what I do is apply a standard recipe to all images before culling and that becomes my starting point for processing. I revisited quite a few such images over the past couple of years and processed them.

Here is one from Capital Reef.

Very nice result.

I make a serious effort to make a mental recording of what a scene looked like to my eyes when I took the shot. That's what I want to make my image look like to the viewer after I am done processing. While more modern cameras do better than older ones they all still look flat compared to what I saw with my eyes.

This is a shot from a trip down to the Bisti a number of years ago. I never quite liked how the sky looked that particular morning but the new masking features in LR allowed me to obtain some better results than I got back when I took the shot.

Great results Alan. I love the new masking options, masking was never my strong suit and the new features are great.

Really nice Jameel. Capital reef has some great rocks and you have rendered the colors prefect here.

Trail Ridge Road, Rocky Mountain National Park, CO (October 2016) I re-edited for a cooler white balance more fitting for a wintry look––I liked the subtle warm color of the field contrasting with the cool color of the mountain and sky. Also removed an extraneous fallen branch in foreground.

Time to jump in with your re-visited archive images.

I took this image of the front range of the Wasatch looking across Utah Lake In 2012. There was an over exposed moon at the top so I cropped it out for this rendering.

Very cool Ben! Nice idea on removing the moon. The reflection didn't bother me, I didn't even notice until I read Alan's comment. I think that would be an easy removal with Content Aware Fill. It's a miracle worker.

Thanks Jim, I left it in because I think it's cool. You don't always see the object that is reflected.

Here's one from my trip to Iceland in 2018. This was early in the trip and I felt the image was simply washed out. I came back to it recently and processed it further using Luminar AI for some extra lift. Then converted to B&W and liked that as well.

Two very different versions if a beautiful image, I normally prefer color, but the B&W has more drama, and I think it's my favorite.
