Time to pile on with your reworked images.

Today I will show one I took at Monument Valley a few years back. You can get a great view from the hotel, but it has a road in it. I drove down the road a bit and found a parking place and then walked out to a location that excluded the road but included the classic view of the Mittens. I was hoping for some cloud color, but the sun was mostly obscured. A hole in the clouds allowed a bit of color to develop on the Mittens.

Nice starter salvage Ben.

My salvage job for today comes from a visit to Mt. Rainier 11 years ago with hopes of some early fall colors. The colors turned out to be in the sky in the form of thick wildfire smoke from somewhere else that made a mess out of the views around Paradise Inn. This is the before view:

And after - I did crop out the trail amongst other edits:

Great salvage Alan. You really changed the look of this with the crop and the clarifying.

Alan, great editing of your image—that’s quite a “before and after” difference!

Ben, I have never been to the Monument Valley, I am curious if you did any lens profile correction in the post-production.

Hi Oliver, I always use the lens correction in Photoshop. But I don't tweak it from the built in settings. Do you see distortions?
