Salvage Saturday

This is one from Anza Borrego State Park, CA that was way underexposed because I was looking into a bright sky. It was difficult to bring up the shadows without blowing out the sky. I'm not sure I got the right balance, but here it is.

I just looked at it again and decided to give a tighter crop and get rid of the bright part of the sky.

Almost 50 yr old negative. Taped to the window and photographed with an Olympus E-410 with an old Russian lens taped in reverse to the front. However the image was noisy so a run through Topaz de-noise AI has improved it a touch. I think that I will find the negative and have another go with a modern camera. Ken

Very well-done Ken. I use my Canon R5 with a 35mm macron and a couple of extension tubes. I find that slides have a lot of texture which does not clean up well in an NR program. I use -100% texture in ACR and it helps a lot.
