Salvage Saturday

Thiis is an image of Sand hill Cranes I took in Door County WI. Light was low so I had to increase the ISO so that the moving birds would be sharp. The resulting image was quite dark, as you can see, so I had to fix the exposure in Lightroom.

Original exposure.

Final image. Note that the birds are not in the same position because I used a sequence image that had the birds farther along.

Wow this is a real exposure increase and results in a great image. Well done.

I took this long exposure of a glacial boulder stranded in a lake in Kerry on a very grey day last summer. I came across it again after thinking about this thread!

I tried turning into black and white before but it didn't work too well so I played around with the saturation this time to leave just a hint of colour and I think it worked better. Any comments of course welcome.

Pile on with your recently reworked images.

Today I am showing an image of the Grand Canyon that I was never happy with. It was either flat, or too gritty or off tone. I am still not completely sure I like this.

I like this Ben. It’s a great image with a good view of the canyon and the shapes of the clouds are very engaging. I think this is one that could go many different ways.

Thanks Jim, if I were into B&W it would probably be appropriate here.
