Salvage Saturday

Nice clouds for this outcrop - I like how they seen to swirl around it in the background.

My salvage for today is from a trip to the Oregon Coast my wife and I took in 1997 before we moved up here from Salt Lake City. This is Cape Foulweather just north of Otter Crest taken from the Otter Crest tide pool area at low tide. Scanned from a Velvia slide.

Hey Ben,

This one is from Dead Horse Point, and was taken with the 6mp Nikon D70, my first digital camera. I was so impressed with this, that I must have immediately stopped touching my film cameras as about 10 years later I found 2 of my film cameras still with half exposed rolls of film.

I have been going through some old images and revisiting them. This is one from winter 2020 in the Mackenzie Country of the South Island of New Zealand, about 90 minutes from my house at the Wairepo Arm of Lake Ruataniwha.

What an awesome view James! Glad you processed it. And to think you live only 90 mins from there.

This is just gorgeous, glad you decided to revisit and keep them coming. I love the colors in this and the mystery of the cloud cover

I am guessing you were using a fairly long lens for this, no matter its a lovely image.I completely gave up photography for a couple years before getting the Nion 990 and no looking back

Needles Scenic Highway, SD (Nikon Z7II) Re-edited by first using DxO PureRaw 3 and then ACR, Photoshop with D&B, etc. (Sorry about the late reply but we lost power all afternoon and evening from storms yesterday).

I am going to have to check out this highway John. I am not sure I am familiar with it. I have been starting to spend more time in South Dakota over the last 3 or 4 years, so I need to do some research!

A really nice one to pull out.
