Time to pile on with this weeks salvaged images

this is White Pocket. I wanted the reflection in the little pool but it took 1/2 hour of clone work to remove dirt, debris and suds. I never cared for that version so I went to my archives for a tighter crop. I prefer this

Jim, love the composition—the foreground shadow leading to the sunlit formations and the larger proportion of sky. Nice.

One from 2005 and the Nikon D70 in Monument Valley. All I had was a jpg of this. I was still treating digital memory like film back then, so I only switched it to raw when I knew it was a killer image, otherwise I just shot in jpg back then.

... Beautiful light, beautiful depths, and beautiful colours. Myself, I only love vintage CCD (and vintage Foveon) colours. They are lush, warm, comfortable and authentic. I remember the exact moment, years ago, when I realized that something about CMOS sensors were no match for vintage CCD colours.
... And colour is #1. Loving to be shooting with the D200 again.
