San Juan Goosenecks

While not officially within Gooseneck State Park in Utah in this view, the San Juan river can be seen from Muley Point at the lower edge of Cedar Mesa. Here it peeks out of a grander area just east of Douglas Mesa, for a wonderful sunset.

I like this. Much more interesting than the usual Gooseneck Overlook. Esp. with a nice sunset.

You got my curiosity up so I had to go look up where this vantage point was. I have been up the switchbacks to the south end of Cedar Mesa but not out on the road leading to Muley Point. Gotta add this to my next So. Utah agenda.

Hey Jeffrey,

That's a very nice view from Muley's Point. I still kind of prefer the Goosenecks personally, something about that double gooseneck gets me. :)

But I do really like this. The sun rays in the background are a nice detail that adds to this.

Hi Jeffrey,

The lining up of the crack in the foreground rock, the river, and the central mountain getting sun rays is a very nice compositional touch. The light and the balance in the sky make this sing.

Those are some neat canyons, and you have a beautiful shot here.

I have been out toward Muley Point, but the road was too rough for my wife so we did not make it all the way.

Jeffrey,
Looks like a beautiful place to take in the sunset. I like your comp floor to ceiling and especially the light coming through in the back.
Regards,
Dean
