This was taken first time i went to Dor beach, i was blessed with pretty dramatic light, at the time i didnt know the location very well, so i took the first comp available:

What a treat to get that light on a first trip somewhere! Do you think you could lighten up the fore/mid ground (mostly the boats) just a tad?

The light and the clouds make a nice backdrop for the line of boats. I agree with Monica that just a little more light on the boats would help. There is a lot of color on those boat hulls that could contribute to your scene here.
