Sharpless 2-308 aka The Dolphin/Cosmic Bubble Nebula

An old nemesis as far as data acquisition was concerned. The previous attempt entailed around 40hrs of integration. A lot easier this time with new gear resulting in better quality I believe.
SH 2-308 is a large H region near the constellation Canis Major the l-y distance is up to conjecture with speculation that it could be anywhere from 1.8K to 5.8K light-years away. The Wolf-Rayet star in the centre is in a pre-supernova stage of its evolution.

Beautiful and it does look like a dolphin. It's interesting that the edges are so sharp rather than diffused.

What a great result on this very faint and difficult object. I really love the definition and detail you have captured in this. Gives it that 3 dimensional look - love it!

Can I assume this is with the elusive Antlia Pro 3nm OIII filter? :)

Thanks Mike ! Yes the Antlia Oiii's are proving their worth for sure !
