This was at the tail end of alpine lake ice cover. The ice had the look of a salt flat, while the smoke diffused the sunset light to keep the sky interesting. C&C welcome!
Makes me want to pull up a chair and settle back with a glass of wine. I am not a big fan of smoky skies during the day but sunrise or sunset is a different story with the colored skies. Nice scene.
Thanks Jim and Alan! I'd be cautious about pulling up a chair without a full body net for mosquito protection. This is Middle Gaylor Lake and it's among my favorites. Considering how often the pyramid shaped peak factors into my compositions there, it is surprisingly not named.
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
