"Smokey Golden Gate"

My wife and I spent last week in San Francisco. The Santa Rosa wild fires started Sunday evening, the same day we arrived. Thoughts and prayers to all the people and families affected by the horrific fires.

I went to the Golden Gate overlook to capture the bridge for sunrise on Tuesday. This is the very first image I captured that morning. I was with Bruce Getty (@gettyphotography on instagram). Bruce has lived in the greater Bay area since 1979. He told me he has never before seen the bridge with these conditions. The smoke was very thick to the senses. It definitely added an additional element to the images.
