Snow and Ice in the Adirondacks, NY

Nice set - we had a bit more ice than that but none of it was as photogenic as what you shot here. I really like the ice in the second one - the colors and contrasts worked quite well. What's the tree/shrub with the red tips? Kind of a neat subject to play with.

This is a truly awesome set, but that 2nd is fantastic, then I saw 3, and can't choose between them.

Thanks, Al and Ben. Al, they are sumac. You can make a lemonade from them, then again you could probably make anything from the volume of sugar involved. But usually the deer get them; though these were pretty high.

Hey Bart, this is a great series! What cool shots you got. #2 and 4 are my favorites. That ice is so awesome, what a cool change to the trees to then work with.

Thanks to each of you. What a treat. We're in for a very cold weekend; the creeks should be frozen in the 'dacks now. So I'll see what I can find this weekend.
