Wow Larry. I agree with Alan, that's some amazing lighting on that to get the Egret to stand out and having the background go dark. I already really like the amount of detail on the Egret.

Thanks Alan: Sometimes you just get lucky, a group of barn swallows were chasing the egret away from their nesting sites and the egret flew just past where I was taking shots of 2 blue heron nests. He stopped about 30 past where I was sitting. The egret was standing in a few inches of water on a dark mud bed. Perfect conditions for this shot
