Sol Duc - a different perspective

I like this view of those falls and have to agree that the dynamic range can be quite maddening - especially with the late morning light you got for your visit.

I have been out on that little ledge you shot this from but during an August visit with less wet rocks.

That's a very dynamic composition. At least the light gave you that rainbow!

I find myself wanting to see more of that water rushing in from the bottom. I'm not sure if it would have been possible.

Thanks Alan. While the rocks were wet and the spray was an issue keeping the front of the lens free of water, the ledge was reasonably safe.

Thanks Kyle. It would have been next to impossible. Perhaps if I had a TS-E lens, a shift would have given me some extra view towards the bottom of the falls.

Looking at some other shots from this trip, there is way to see down where the water is rushing up. The spray there was so strong that I wasn't able to take any decent image with water all over the the lens.
