Thanks Kevin for the nice comments, appreciated. My favorite is the American coot. I always thought they were an ugly, worthless bird. This image
shows the bird close up and in great detail and it has a lot of character and color I was not expecting. ;)

So the black duck with the white on it's bill is called a Mud Duck. I have gotten photos of those ones once in a while, but never knew what they were. so thanks!

Very nice captures Larry. That's a pretty good variety I think for one lake.

Hi Jim: The Northern Shovelers are migratory and come through here every spring for a few weeks. The other birds are locals that stay here year round. :cool:
