A Brown Thrasher chick. These birds are very shy and I was pleased to find this nest.

Thanks guys, this was from last spring and I’m sure this little guy is now hiding in thickets like all his peers. As for the detail, I purchased this camera and upgraded lens for my wife but find myself grabbing it for quick shots or while hiking where weight is an issue. For the, relatively, low cost it’s a whale of a camera/lens combo... Mike
