Spring Owls + Edit

I had a lot of fun shooting today. I have only been venturing out for the past month a couple miles from my house to shoot only drove a couple times... We have these ponds about 2 miles from the house if you walk the Big Thompson Trail. I run this trail a lot but I have been now also walking it on days I am not running and really have been appreciating slowing down. Today I had the honor of capturing a lot of babies; ducks and owls....

CC Welcome... ( what do you prefer both owls sharp or I did a layer mask on the 2nd image and blurred the other owl/tree out to focus on the one)

I have to say, I have a really hard time choosing which I like better now. They both actually look really good. I think I might have to sleep on this one to figure out which I prefer.

One thing I do know, you should feel really happy about this shot!

Nice work, bird watching is such a great way to slow down. I like 'em both, but prefer the blur.

I'd crop off the entire right half of this image to emphasize the fully seen bird.

With wildlife, you always want sharp. Particularly the eyes. The backgrounds can be blurry, but the creatures should be sharp.

I love owls but never see them. Once I discovered some burrowing owls, at first I thought they were prairie dogs from a distance...
