I love the earthen toned color palette for this scene. Looks like late fall in the remaining leaves. Beautiful.

The russet dark and brooding earth colour comes from the bracken that covers this moreland, along with darker heather plants. It is stronger and more pervasive in Fall, particularly with the active skies and light we get in the Fall and winter.
Well Barry, you know where to stay should you come back again! I think this one was taken when we went there the first time.
if you ever get over to the UK. Give me advance warning and I'll set something up - though I have to say i spend much of my trip-time over in Canada and the US!
