Sun on 1 April 2023 (No, it's not a prank)

Here is the sun as it appeared over New Zealand on April Fool's Day 2023. I had not planned on shooting the sun that day, but it was perfectly clear out all day and I figured "why waste an opportunity?". My data acquisition is getting a bit more streamlined, as is the processing part of the process, so this is one of my better attempts, in my view.

Love it! Great job with this. One day I will capture this too. I like all of the detail on the surface.

A question I was thinking of today. Are you polar aligned when doing this?

Lovely work, just fantastic detail on this one. I need a few more sunsposts though to support my 'other' hobby (Amateur Radio ). Seriously though. really great job on this one, that Quark setup is certainly giving you top notch results.
