I do have a roll off shed I built it probably 10years ago it's fully automated so I can sleep at nightHey Les,
You have a roll off shed???? I don't remember that. That is so cool. And thanks for sharing your setup, it's giving me an idea on how I can clean up my cabling a bit. Mine currently looks like a bowl of spaghetti when it's set up.
So with the Lent 60, you are using a 90 degree for the camera to connect. Is that normal for the Lunt 60?
A very cool solar image. I have really been putting serious thought into getting something similar.
Oh how interesting about the blocking filter. I thought the blocking filter would be in the Lunt 60?I do have a roll off shed I built it probably 10years ago it's fully automated so I can sleep at night
When it's done shooting or clouds roll in it will park up and close roof
The diagonal is a blocking filter
The cable wrap I got from Amazon pretty cheap I think the 1/2" is like $15 for 25ft
Nice shot Les! I had the double stack for my Lunt 60 and I sold it. I got better images with a single stack. I did outreach and people actually liked the single stack better. When I bought mine it was the 50mm double stack on the 60 mm scope so it lost a lot of brightness. I think they have a 60 double stack now so that might make a difference. I get Newton rings when I use a barlow only and I'm using the ASI1600mm. I hope the double stack works out for you.I got the Tak 106 when it was a lot cheaper
On another Note I was told by zwo that the 178mm camera is not good for Solar imaging as it leaves a grid Pattern and yes the grid pattern is there. 174mm on order and also changing the scope to a Double stack have to wait 4 months for the filter to be made and upgrading the focuser to add a zwo electronic focuser that way when we do outreach from the local obs we can teamviewer in and do live sun images on a large screen
I purchased a tilt adapter to eliminate the Newton Rings also looking to find a clocking adapterNice shot Les! I had the double stack for my Lunt 60 and I sold it.
